The smell of moist sweat and blood lingered in the air.

It made no difference to Calian, who was used to this smell after many years of experience.

“Entrance fee.”

A man approached Calian while spreading two fingers.

Calian nodded and gave him two gold coins, and the man handed him a plaque with a number engraved on it.

It was something to replace Calian’s name.

Calian received it without a word and went inside.

There was a large iron cage in the middle of the gambling hall, where two men looked like they had been fighting for a long time: one with a black headband and the other with a white headband.

Around fifty other gamblers were watching, with some surrounding the cage and screaming at the top of their lungs.

Others were sitting in chairs around small tables.

One of them walked over to where Calian stood unmoving as he observed the gambling scene.

It was a girl with silver hair in a short dress.

Calian frowned slightly at her unfashionable dress style.

Those clothes were the kind you wore when you didn’t have another choice.

The girl wrapped her hands around his arm and gestured to an empty seat.

As Calian sat down, the girl left for a moment and came back while holding out something like a tray to Calian.

It was divided into two halves.

One half was painted in black and the other in white, but it wasn’t too difficult to figure out what it was for.

Calian stared at the fighters in the arena for a moment before pulling three gold coins out of his pocket and laying them on the white side of the tray.

The girl returned with the money given by Calian and noted down that he had put 3 Florins on white.

Calian looked to the front again.

The man in the white headband was being thrashed by the man in the black headband.

“Stay in the ring!”

“Be careful with your elbows, you fool!”

The words were mixed with a lot of profanity.

Calian closed his eyes, as if unwilling to see the outcome of the fight.

How long had it been

The sounds of people cheering and swearing filled the air.

When Calian opened his eyes, he saw the man in the black headband lying on the floor of the stadium.

It was difficult to even recognize the face that had been crushed.

The girl who had just received money from Calian a while ago, came over and gave him a piece of paper.

It was a voucher stating that he had won twice as much for successfully predicting the victor.

“Yes! Bloody Gerard wins today too! So let’s start today’s third game!”

Since it was the second game that he just saw, the first game must have ended before Calian arrived.

The man in the black headband was dragged out, and the man in the white headband walked out quickly.

The next game began without delay and the girl from earlier walked back to him.

Calian bet on the black side this time, giving her the 6 Florin voucher which he won earlier.

The girl wrote down the information Calian had chosen and returned.

Each match lasted around 5 to 10 minutes with Calian successfully managing to place a bet in every round until the tenth round ended.

“The tenth game is over.

The winner is the Steel Knee Pantheron!”

The voice of the host rang out.

The girl walked back to Calian and handed over another voucher, giving him a handshake before leaving again.

Predicting the victor of the fight wasn’t difficult for Calian, which is why his original 3 Florin had suddenly increased to over 1500 Florin.

Calian caught a glance from the game host who had seemingly heard of the suspiciously successful gambler who had picked out the victor many times consecutively.

Calian shook his head to convey his disinterest and tell the host to continue quickly.

‘I’m not here to gamble.’ He thought.

Kyrie had yet to come out.

Or maybe it was the first game that Calian had missed.

Once the other gamblers began betting on the next game, the host opened his mouth.

“Yes, this is the final match.

You can earn four times as much on this round! Many of you have been waiting for this special game!”

The gambling hall was suddenly engulfed by the excited screams of spectators with high hopes.

The host, who was overwhelmed by the atmosphere, started to introduce the fighters.

“Introducing! Captain…..

Sean!”

A muscular giant in a white headband lumbered forward.

He stomped the floor of the stadium with his feet and raised his arms to roar into the crowd, earning him cheers from the audience.

“And a man who doesn’t know when to give up!”

It was the final match.

Kyrie was so nervous he found it hard to breathe.

He had to appear in the ring one more time.

The voice of the host and the voice in his memories overlapped.

“You’ve been defeated ten times so far! Will you continue to fight today even if you may never win a match”

– I was held in a place where I was constantly forced to fight and make money.

The challenger entered the arena.

He was wearing a black headband.

Above the headband was clear blue hair.

Calian flinched.

“Don’t try to predict my victory or defeat.

I’m stronger than I was yesterday!”

– He left Kyrie after his sister died.

The challenger raised his head and looked around.

His eyes fixed on Calian.

“And next! Introducing!” The host’s voice was heard again.

It was the blue and black eyes of a child

“Monster…..eye!!!”

Kyrie.

“Kyrie!”

I found you.

The girl stared at Calian.

It was because the amount of money that Calian had given to her was too large.

What Calian presented to her was the voucher he had just received.

He had just bet over 1500 Florins on Kyrie.

Someone standing next to him stepped in.

“Hey, you could win a huge amount of money, but you shouldn’t blow it like that. He’s never won against that bastard before.

The match should be worth watching, so just cheer and the money will go to the white side.”

“No! I’m going to win today! I would have won if Kyrie had been there just a second earlier yesterday,”  said another.

It turned out that there were quite a few people in Black who had never won before.

The girl holding the tray immediately wrote the content on the paper and returned.

Complete silence engulfed the arena as the fight began.

Kyrie was of great stature.

He didn’t look like he was a seventeen year old child.

He stood in front of his opponent, who was 2 meters tall, the giant Sean immediately swung his arm.

At a glance, one could see the swelling of his arms, bulging like Raven’s leg.

– Scheik!

The sound of the wind could be heard clearly.

Calian couldn’t believe that he was swinging that arm.

Seeing that an attack was coming towards him, Kyrie swung out at him lightly. The attack  missed Kyrie and hit the ground instead.

Kyrie immediately stepped back as another blow was sent up from below him.

Sean kicked out as he quickly recovered the arm that had swung at Kyrie in both attacks.

The kick was so fast it seemed like there wouldn’t be enough time to be able to avoid it.

Kyrie raised both arms to defend.

– Puck!

Kyrie’s upper body was knocked back with a loud sound despite his attempt at defense.

So when Kyrie stepped back, Sean approached and kicked him again.

Kyrie grabbed Sean’s leg.

He was trying to make Sean lose balance even for a moment, but they were too different in weight.

Sean swung at Kyrie, whose side was unprotected as he held onto Sean’s leg.

-TAAT!

Kyrie’s legs were crossed so he quickly retreated into the distance.

Kyrie spun around and struck Sean’s chin with a roundabout kick.

His jaw shifted to the side, making a nauseating sound.

Shaun clutched at his head for a moment and rushed over toward Kyrie with a confused look on his face.

He pulled Kyrie by the waist and rushed towards the side of the cage.

– Bang!

Kyrie’s body hit a bar and he screamed loudly.

Sean’s fist hit Kyrie’s belly.

Kyrie reached out and kicked Sean’s chin.

It was followed by over twenty exchanges.

Blood began to flow from Sean’s nose, which was hit by Kyrie’s knees.

When he looked at his left hand, it was shaking slightly, He had been injured when Kyrie twisted his arm.

Of course, Kyrie wasn’t in good shape either.

Kyrie bent over momentarily as he approached Sean. His eyes were blackened and his lips were swollen and left ajar.

“You seem undeterred by the absence of your sword.”

Calian muttered, laughing.

It was a relaxed remark, but it wasn’t all that way.

Calian felt like he was going to burst out of his seat when he saw that Kyrie was fighting bare handed.

Sean had broken into the air in the meantime and jumped right in front of Kyrie.

His right fist punched out towards Kyrie’s face.

Kyrie immediately raised his arms and blocked.

Kyrie momentarily lifted his arms, at which point Sean’s left fist struck Kyrie’s side.

“Come on!”

Kyrie, who made a choking sound, leaned against the bars for support.

His shoulder was shaking.

It seemed like Sean had hit the right spot.

Calian could barely hold himself back.

Kyrie lifted his foot to give Sean a strong kick but was knocked back.

He ran back to Sean and punched him, but Sean didn’t seem to have been damaged.

– Kuhk!

Sean clenched his fists as if he were on drugs and focused his eyes on Kyrie’s abdomen while Kyrie shook his body slightly to check his condition.

Sean grinned and clenched his fists.

Kyrie could barely pick himself up.

Sean rushed over, and sent a dozen blows flying in Kyrie’s direction in an instant.

At one point Kyrie, who had managed to stop him the first few times, was allowing Sean to attack without hesitation.

He barely made a feeble punch, but it didn’t do much damage to Sean.

Blood flowed from Kyrie’s mouth.

Calian yelled, “Kyrie! You have a habit of shaking your shoulders just before the attack!”

Kyrie’s shoulders flinched when he heard the voice that had rang out over the numerous noises in the arena.

Kyrie lowered the arm that blocked Sean’s fist.

Then he clenched his fist. The muscles of the arm were stretched tight, and the tendon bulged out from the back of the hand to the forearm.

Kyrie punched out as far as he could towards Sean’s belly.

He only heard one word, but his shoulders moved properly during this attack.

Sean stepped back.

He was blindsided and in shock when Kyrie’s counterattack worked.

The cheers of the people shook the gambling hall.

That moment, the attacks of Kyrie began to pour in.

He swung out his arms, struck his chin and kicked him back.

A flurry of attacks emerged without any room for him to recover.

In the end,

-Kuung!

Sean took a few steps backwards, closed his eyes and collapsed.

The host immediately started a countdown, but Sean, who had lost consciousness, did not get up.

“This, what is this!”

Unbelievable.

There was confusion in the hall as no one expected Kyrie to win after losing for 10 consecutive rounds.

The host stammered in excitement.

“Finally! Kyrie has finally won!”

Those who had bet on Kyrie’s victory could not contain their glee.

Such great luck!

“The winner of the last game of the day is Kyrie the Monster Eye!”

Kyrie breathed hard and turned his head.

He turned towards Calian.

They were covered by the hood, but he felt like he was looking straight into Calian’s eyes.

‘Who is it’

Calian stared back at him through his hood with a smirk.

“Monster eye in the blood.”

Then he looked around, waiting for someone.

“Come with me,” said someone walking towards Calian.

It wasn’t the girl who carried the tray from earlier, but a man who was as big as Sean.

Instead of handing him the voucher, he said

“There is someone looking for you.

Follow me.”

Calian stood up from his seat unworriedly and followed the man.
